What this tool does

PDF to HTML produces one self-contained .html file you can open in any browser, host on a static site, or paste into a help-centre article. Text stays selectable and searchable, which is the main reason to prefer HTML over an image export.

Two layouts are available. Reflow paragraphs gives you clean, styleable markup that reads well on phones. Page-exact positions keeps every text run at its measured position on a page-sized canvas, which is useful when the document is a form or a poster and the arrangement carries meaning.

How to convert it

  1. Add the PDF.
  2. Pick reflowing paragraphs or page-exact positions.
  3. Convert and open the .html file in a browser.

When to use it

  • Publishing a document as a web page without retyping it.
  • Making an old PDF readable on mobile screens.
  • Feeding document text into a search index or a knowledge base.

What it cannot do

  • Text only: images and embedded fonts are not exported.
  • Page-exact mode produces absolutely positioned spans, which are hard to edit by hand.

Questions about this conversion

Is this PDF tool really free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no daily limit on the number of files. The tools run on your own device, so there is no per-file cost to pass on to you.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

Not for this tool: the conversion happens in your browser and the file is never sent anywhere. Where a job genuinely needs a server, the page says so before you start and deletes the copy with the job.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Pages are keyboard reachable and the drop area accepts the phone file picker. Large documents are limited by the memory of the device rather than by the site.

Can I use the output commercially?

Yes. We claim no rights over your documents or the files produced from them, and we add nothing to the output.

Is the HTML responsive?

In reflow mode, yes: the markup is plain paragraphs with a max-width container. Page-exact mode reproduces a fixed page size and is meant for fidelity, not for narrow screens.

Does it keep links?

No. Link annotations live outside the text layer this tool reads, so they are dropped. Adding the few links you need by hand is usually faster than repairing imported ones.
