What this tool does

Rotate PDF turns pages by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, either for the whole document or only for the pages that were scanned sideways. The rotation is written into the page dictionary, so every viewer shows the page upright without re-rendering it.

Because the page content is untouched, text stays selectable and the file size barely changes. The preview in your viewer may need a reload to show the new orientation.

How to convert it

  1. Add the PDF.
  2. Choose all pages or type the ones that need turning, and pick the angle.
  3. Rotate and download the PDF.

When to use it

  • Fixing sideways scans.
  • Turning a landscape chart into a readable page.
  • Correcting a document that was scanned upside down.

What it cannot do

  • Rotation is applied on top of any rotation the page already has.
  • Page content itself is never re-rendered, so quality cannot drop.

Is this PDF tool really free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no daily limit on the number of files. The tools run on your own device, so there is no per-file cost to pass on to you.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

Not for this tool: the conversion happens in your browser and the file is never sent anywhere. Where a job genuinely needs a server, the page says so before you start and deletes the copy with the job.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Pages are keyboard reachable and the drop area accepts the phone file picker. Large documents are limited by the memory of the device rather than by the site.

Can I use the output commercially?

Yes. We claim no rights over your documents or the files produced from them, and we add nothing to the output.

Why does my viewer still show it sideways?

Some viewers cache the page preview. Reopen the file, or reload the tab, and the new orientation appears.

Can I rotate different pages by different angles?

One angle per run. Rotate the whole document by 90 degrees, then run the tool again on the remaining pages if they need a different correction.
