Set the order before you merge
A merge tool joins files in the order you provide. If the final document must read cover, chapters, appendix, rename the files or drag them into that sequence before starting.
Page order inside each PDF stays as it is. Merging appends whole documents; it does not reorder pages within a file.
Merge the PDFs in VoraPDF
Open the merge tool, add the PDFs, check the list order, and start the merge. When it finishes, download the single PDF.
- Add two or more PDF files.
- Drag the files into the required order.
- Start the merge and wait for processing.
- Download the merged PDF and open it to check the result.
Know what merging does not do
Merging combines pages into one document; it does not compress the files. The merged PDF can be as large as the inputs combined, or larger.
Bookmarks, links, form fields, and digital signatures may not survive a merge unchanged. If those matter, test a copy before relying on the output.
Password-protected PDFs usually need to be unlocked before they can be merged.
Check the merged file before sharing
Open the downloaded PDF and confirm the page count, first and last pages, and the order of sections. If the result is too large to send, compress it after merging.
If you only need certain pages from several PDFs, use page extraction or page organization instead of merging whole files.
